Taking back control of a tool
A business app rented at a high price, taken back and rebuilt. Standalone, and in the client's name.
A dive centre relied daily on a business app to run its operations. It had been generated through an automated tool, with no real control over the result.
The app cost around $200 a month, with messy code and total dependence on the tool that had generated it. No way to evolve freely, and a bill that never stopped.
We took the whole thing over, cleaned up the code and rebuilt a standalone app, delivered in the centre's name, in four days. No more dependence on the original tool.
The app now runs with no subscription and belongs 100% to the centre. A real saving of $2,400 a year, and full ownership recovered.
Saving calculated on the real $200/month basis. Avoided price increases are not counted.
